I have been photographing the Cardwell family since Brielle was three months old (but I've known them much longer), and now her baby sister Emma is one! It's so funny seeing their personalities evolve, especially Brielle, who is a firecracker every time I see her. I always say with little ones you have to snap FAST to get the shot, and we ended up with so many shots I couldn't narrow it down. Check out the last photos, where their mama put Emma in the same outfit Brielle wore for her one year photos... so cool to see how similar and different they are at the same time!
As soon as Tina sent me a photo of her red dress, I knew we had to be out in this white grass field in Suisun Valley (Fairfield area). I am obsessed with the gorgeous train, and her makeup (by Aliyah Puerto out of Vacaville) was absolute perfection. This is a very special occasion for them- Tina and Mike are expecting their first baby, after thirteen years together- yes, I said THIRTEEN! She was so open with her IVF journey that it made me feel like I'd known them forever. Her baby is due just one month after mine. We were talking about how different our lives will be in just a few months, and Mike said so matter-of-factly "Yeah... but I am SO excited for it." He also made sure Tina got lots of solo shots to commemorate her pregnancy- sometimes it's the littlest things that show me the most about who people are. These two are going to be fantastic parents, I can just feel it!
It's beginning to look a lot like FALL! We chose this beautiful field in Suisun Valley for Veronica and Dylan's family photos so that their outfits would stand out and I LOVE how perfectly they all coordinate without being too matchy-matchy. You might recognize Veronica- she is the one behind most of my clients' beautiful faces! She is one of the best makeup artists in our area and is so talented! But, like me, she's used to being behind the scenes, so it was a nice change to have her in front of my camera! She and her boyfriend Dylan just moved in together and needed some beautiful blended family photos to hang on their walls, and I'm honored she asked me to capture these moments for them. Weston and Delilah had me cracking up- they collected bird feathers while we took their parent's romantic photos, and loved being silly for the camera. They all look so happy together!!
